Māhealani - Moonlit Glow Balm
Māhealani is BACK! Our first batch sold out in record time so we made more this time. Get yours before it is gone!
Māhealani is the perfect addition to your winter skincare collection, but will keep your skin glowing all year. While most of Honua's products soak in almost immediately to work on balancing skin's moisture at a deeper level, this one satisfies the craving for a more dewy veil of surface hydration. It layers beautifully over our light and silky Aloha Youth Serum or our healing 'Olena Beauty Oil.
Māhealani draws inspiration from the full moon, specifically the third night of our full moon. Among ancient Hawaiians, this special night was dedicated to sacred rituals. Our ancestors used the moonlit glow of Māhealani to plant to ensure an abundant harvest, caring for their families. We created Māhealani to nourish your skin and highlight your natural glow. Like beautiful moonlight, a little goes a long way.
You can use Māhealani at any time of day, but we love her best at night, following The Honua Ritual, as her seductive scent and luxurious texture envelop skin and soul before you drift off to sleep.
Directions: Use nightly and wake up to glowing skin or as a daytime natural highlighter and moisturizer for drier skin. Use a pearl-sized amount initially and warm in hands before massaging gently onto cleansed skin and décolleté or wherever skin needs a little extra attention and love, including areas of dryness or burns.

Step 1: Apply 1-2 pumps of our Pa'akai Cleansing Cream in your hand and lomi (massage) on to your face, add water to emulsify and rinse clean.
Step 2: Apply 1-2 pumps of our Hawaiian Beauty Water on a cotton round and gently wipe across entire face and décolleté. This process not only tones, hydrates, but helps to remove dead skin to leave skin glowing.
Step 3: Apply a pea size amount of our ALOHA Youth Serum to your hand and gently lomi onto the face and décolleté. Let it penetrate while thinking beautiful thoughts before moving on to the next step.
Step 4: Apply a ¼ dropper of the 'Ōlena Oil into your palms and warm up before gently pressing into skin. This will leave your skin feeling hydrated, plump and give your our signature Honua glow.
Step 5: During the daytime, finish with our beloved MALU Moisturizer + SPF30. Sun protection is critical for all skin types. At night, we recommend our newest creation, the Māhealani Moonlit Glow Balm.
FRESH-BLENDED HAWAIIAN CREATIONS
Every single Honua creation draws its inspiration from Hawaii's botanicals, culture and the traditional Hawaiian healing art of Lā'au Lapa'au. Founder Kapua Browning created the formulas for many of our products in her apothecary facial studio on the island of Oahu, years before bottling them to share with the world.
Each of our products are exquisitely crafted using only the highest quality ingredients, many of which are sourced from local farms in Hawaii. Sharing the love between many farms rather than 1-2 large ones allows time for replenishment so that we never deplete our resources. We also believe in supporting sustainable farmers as their regenerative farm practices will allow our beautiful plants to continue to thrive for years to come.
All Honua products are made fresh very shortly after creation. We recommend using them within 12 months of opening. Please store in a cool, dark place to preserve its longevity! While we Hawaiians LOVE the sun, our Honua creations do not.
