HAWAIIAN HEALING BOTANICALS For centuries, native Hawaiians have practiced the art of la'au lapa'au, a holistic approach to healing and wellness that uses native plants and minerals to address minor and major medical conditions. Honua harnesses the unique power of these same healing botanicals in every product we create with love, for you.
OUR FAVORITE BOTANICALS:
'Ōlena (Hawaiian Turmeric): One of our most used ingredients due to its anti-inflammatory and healing powers. It brightens skin and give it a luminous glow. 'Ōlena treats the root of aging, acne, dehydration, sun damage and more. The Honua family uses 'Ōlena not only in our skincare but also to heal cuts, burns, bites and other issues needing at-home remedies. We source our 'Ōlena from the Big Island of Hawaii.
Aloalo (Hibiscus): Hibiscus has been proven to firm, tighten and smooth skin, which is why we use it in many of our products, including 3 of the 4 Honua Ritual products.
Noni: A magical skin healer that is rich in antioxidants (vitamin C and selenium). Noni helps to reverse aging and nourish skin at a cellular level.
Kukui and Kamani Oils: Found in many Honua products, these beautiful oils are packed with essential fatty acids and antioxidants to help hydrate and promote production of elastin and collagen.
Pa'akai (Hawaiian salt): Ultra cleansing, our Hawaiian sea salt helps cleanse pores and fight bacteria, leaving skin clean and refreshed.

ALOHA DAILY Honua offers a new experience in skincare. Our daily facial ritual not only transforms skin, but allows customers to experience a touch of aloha daily. From formulation to production, we incorporate the spirit of aloha and it shows in our products. We share this special message on the inside of every Honua box so that our customers can also incorporate aloha in to their daily lives. The “Honua Glow” is contagious and is attributed to both the daily care of the skin and soul!
MEET THE FOUNDER
A PASSION FOR SKINCARE Kapua Browning founded Honua Hawaiian Skincare in 2015, when the demand for her Hawaiian crafted products grew beyond her treatment room. Born and raised on O‘ahu as an avid surfer and beach girl, Kapua began to notice sun damage and pigmentation in her own complexion as early as her 20’s. In an attempt to take care of her skin, she became passionate about beauty and began to train in aesthetics and learn about traditional Hawaiian healing and medicinal herbs. After a decade of experience as a licensed esthetician, and extended training in herbalism and product development, Browning began her own hand-crafted skincare collection, Honua Skincare.
